Studying chemistry can be fun. It is true that chemistry is not an easy subject to learn but following a few basic guidelines, you should be able to enjoy it. As a starting student of chemistry, we introduce you to the Whats of the subject. As you become more familiar with some of the terminology associated with chemistry, you will then be introduced to the Hows and the Whys of the subject.

Keep in mind that learning chemistry is like learning a foreign language that is spoken all over the globe. In order to excel, you need to practice your newly learned language by becoming familiar with its vocabulary as well as being able to communicate it. This language is best learned by solving problems and writing solutions. When drawing structures of various molecules, think of these as artistic drawings. As you progress, avoid memorization and attempt to learn concepts. The more familiar you are with the concepts of chemistry, the more comfortable you will be when you communicate the subject to others.

Try to impress others with your knowledge of chemistry. When all falls silent at the dinner table, you can always rise to the occasion (How about those carbon atoms!!).
